# How do I lock the order of modules in a K.Live playlist?

Locking the order in which modules are viewed allows you to structure your playlists sequentially. Learners cannot move freely from one module to another: they must follow the course in the order you have set.

The advantages:
* Training path: it allows you to set up a real training path.
* Step-by-step progression: the modules are viewed in a step-by-step progression.
* Greater training consistency: you remain in control of the learning framework, ensuring that all steps are covered.

### How do I activate locking?

1. Go to your K.Live playlist
2. Open the playlist options
3. Check the “Lock playlist order” option.
4. Save your settings: your modules will now only be viewable in the defined order.

### What happens for the learner?

When viewing the playlist, the learner must reach the end of the module screen before moving on to the next one.
A button appears at the end of the module allowing them to move on to the next module.
