# How to create an activity with AI suggestion?

**Magic creation (beta)** lets you automatically generate the content of a learning activity from your video or from a PDF document. You get ready-to-use questions, answers and feedback, which you can then review and adjust before saving.

## 1. Compatible activities

Magic creation is available on the following activities. In the interactive hotspots popup, you can recognise them by their blue gradient icon:

## 2. Choose magic creation

In the **chapter** editor of your module, open the **INTERACTIVE HOTSPOTS** section and click the activity of your choice among those with a **blue gradient** icon. A window offers two modes:

* **Manual creation**: you build the activity yourself, as usual.
* **Magic creation (beta)**: our educational AI generates the content of the activity for you.

Click **Magic creation (beta)**.

## 3. Choose the content source

Tell the AI what to rely on to generate the questions. You can tick one or more sources:

* **The video content**: the AI uses the subtitles of the chapter's video. Tick **Only take into account the video segment before the activity** so that the questions only cover what the learner has already watched when the activity appears.
* **A document**: click **Add from the library** to select a PDF from your media library.

> **Note:** only PDFs containing **selectable text** are accepted, and only the PDF format for now. A PDF made of images (a scan, a presentation exported as images) cannot be read. To check your file, try selecting and copying text in the preview. If no text can be read, K.Air tells you so and the **Continue** button stays greyed out: choose another document.

> **Video without subtitles?** If your video has not been transcribed yet, K.Air offers to start the transcription when you tick **The video content**. You receive an email once processing is complete and can then launch magic creation again. This option is not available if the video has no audio track or is still being processed.

## 4. Set the number of questions and feedback

* **Ideal number of questions**: move the slider from 1 to 5. The AI may suggest fewer questions than requested if the source does not contain enough material.
* **Add feedback for each question**: ticked by default, this option generates [feedback](/en/article/create-feedback-for-your-learning-activities-1e4curr/) tailored to each question.

Click **Continue**. A loading screen is displayed while the content is generated.

## 5. Review, adjust and save

Once generation is complete, the activity editing window opens **pre-filled** with the suggested questions, answers and feedback. You can change everything, just like an activity created manually: rephrase a question, correct an answer, delete a suggestion, add images, customise the look.

Carefully review the suggestions, then click **Save**.

> **Tip:** the AI relies only on the source you give it. The more precise and structured your subtitles or document are, the more relevant the generated questions will be. You remain the author of the activity: a review before saving is always recommended.
