Create a "Memory" activity hotspot

In the chapter editing section of your module, choose the Memory activity in the HOTSPOTS section.

1. Define the question

For each learning activity, you must write a clear and concise instruction (225 characters max). This instruction guides the learner and should help them quickly understand what is expected.

Also consider:

  • Setting the number of points awarded for the activity,
  • Writing personalized feedback, which will appear after the learner’s response: this feedback is essential to help them progress and consolidate their knowledge.

2. Define the card pairs

For the pairs to be matched, you can create:

  • a classic memory: by placing the same image on both the left and right. The learner must find the identical pairs.
  • a pedagogical memory: by matching two different cards. For example: image ↔ word, question ↔ answer, to reinforce learning.

You can offer between 3 and 6 pairs. For optimal rendering, each card should measure 264 x 160 pixels.

3. Learner experience

During the activity, the learner will see the instruction at the top of the screen, followed by the progress indicator (e.g.: question 2/5), and then the interactive exercise.

They must click on the cards to flip them.

  • If the two cards don’t match, they will automatically turn back face down.
  • If they match, they stay visible and are validated.

If they click on the small validation tick before finding all the pairs, the correction will appear immediately, but the activity will not be validated, resulting in a score of 0%.

If you would like to add feedback to your activity, feel free to consult this article to learn how!
