Best practices & tips

Here are a few best practices to help you create your first modules:

Don't overload the timeline: we recommend 2 to 3 targets per chapter.

Allow learners time to click: we recommend that hotspots appear on screen for at least 5 seconds.

Use automatic opening if necessary, but sparingly

Position hotspots so as not to interrupt the voice

Position hotspots so as not to obscure the faces of actors or important elements.

Do not include interactivities that prompt the learner to leave the module (e.g., a URL link) at the start of a chapter, as this may result in the module not being completed.

Use the target score to boost the educational aspect of the module

Title modules, chapters and targets

Push personalization to the max: the user experience is as important as the content

Let the module breathe: avoid visual overload, think about transitions and moments of interaction

Provide feedback on educational activities

If SCORM export: pay attention to media size
